A little about me...
As an African American man deeply invested in holistic health and wellness, I believe that true healing encompasses not just the mind, but the body and spirit as well. My own experiences have shaped my understanding of mental health, prompting me to explore diverse avenues that promote overall well-being.
Growing up in a vibrant family, I learned early on the importance of connection—both with others and with the world around us. Nature became a sanctuary for me, a place to reflect and recharge. I find that spending time outdoors not only nourishes my spirit but also enhances my ability to empathize and connect with others. Nature has a profound way of grounding us, with many therapeutic benefits of fresh air, sunlight, and the beauty of the natural world.
My path into therapy began with a desire to empower others. I have always believed that each individual possesses an innate strength and wisdom. My approach is rooted in the idea that therapy is a collaborative journey. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves freely. I encourage creative self-expression through art as a powerful tool for exploration and healing. Art transcends words and can unveil emotions that may be difficult to articulate, allowing individuals to connect with their inner selves on a deeper level.
In addition to art, I understand the importance of movement in overall health and well being. Movement—whether through dance, yoga, or simply taking a walk—can be incredibly liberating and therapeutic. I believe that when we engage in movement, we honor our physical selves and create a space for emotional healing
