A little about me...

I am a Chinese transracial adoptee raised in the Midwest. I moved to Seattle as an adult and am honored to be living on the unceded ancestral lands of the Duwamish people past and present. I enjoy hiking in nature, eating good food, and spending time with my dog.

I believe that everyone can benefit from and deserves to participate in therapy. I see therapy as a process of reflection, self-discovery, and healing. My goal is to create an environment where you can see your own path forward, as well as look at your path so far. I am interested in working with adoptees, their families, and people of color.

Approach to Therapy

As we move through life we encounter experiences and systems that shape us in different ways. In our time together we will look at what has shaped your life. We will move at your pace and focus on where you want to go. I welcome your whole self and intersectional identities. I will extend empathy and will engage in active listening to better understand you.

I believe people already possess what they need to heal, but systems of oppression and trauma can obscure internal strengths. Internalized oppression and deep emotions can take over and control everyday life. By taking an anti-racist, decolonized, and trauma informed approach, therapy will help to reveal the health, strength and power that is already within.

Every person’s experience in therapy is unique, and so I work to adapt myself and the modalities to each person. I am trained in the following modalities and theories:

* Motivational Interviewing

* Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT),

* Behavioral Activation

* Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

* Internal Family Systems

* Attachment Theory
